Our Health Guarantee – Because Your Kitten Deserves the Best Start
At Kitten Haven, the health and well-being of our kittens are our top priority. We proudly offer a comprehensive health guarantee to give our families confidence and peace of mind when welcoming a new feline companion into their home.
Every kitten we place undergoes a full health examination by a licensed veterinarian. This includes screenings for common genetic concerns, a complete physical exam, and an overall wellness assessment to ensure your kitten is strong, healthy, and ready to thrive in their new environment.
Our health guarantee covers any verified genetic health conditions within a specified period (as outlined in your signed agreement). If any unexpected concerns arise, we are here to provide guidance, support, and fair solutions to ensure both you and your kitten are fully cared for.
We follow ethical breeding practices and take every precaution to minimize potential health risks. Each kitten receives age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, and daily hands-on care from birth until placement.
Your satisfaction—and your kitten’s lifelong health—are at the heart of everything we do. Because every kitten deserves a healthy, happy beginning.

Health Guarantee & Purchase Terms
Kitten Haven
At Kitten Haven, the health and well-being of our kittens are our highest priority. We are committed to ethical breeding, responsible care, and complete transparency. Each kitten placed in a new home is backed by a clear health guarantee designed to give you peace of mind.
1. Required Veterinary Exam Within 10 Days
Within 10 days of receiving your kitten, you are required to take them to a licensed veterinarian for a full health examination. If the veterinarian determines during this period that your kitten is suffering from a clinical illness, or has passed away from a condition likely originating before or at the time of delivery, you may:
Return the kitten for a full refund
Return the kitten for a replacement of equal value
Keep the kitten and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary expenses (not to exceed the purchase price)
Note: These options do not apply if the seller disclosed known health concerns and provided a current health certificate at the time of sale.
2. Congenital or Hereditary Defects Within 30 Days
If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a congenital or hereditary defect within 30 days of purchase—or if the kitten passes away from such a condition—the same options listed above apply.
To qualify, you must provide the breeder with the veterinarian’s name, address, and phone number within 48 hours of receiving the diagnosis.
3. Mandatory Veterinary Examination (Within 48 Hours)
You must have your kitten examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours of arrival. This confirms the kitten’s health at delivery and establishes baseline records for future care.
Failure to do so may void the health guarantee.
4. Health Disclaimer After Delivery
Once the kitten leaves our care, we are no longer liable for exposure to illness. Please avoid contact with unknown animals, unclean environments, or public spaces until your kitten is fully vaccinated.
Treat your kitten with the same attentiveness you would give a newborn child.
5. Pre-Shipment Veterinary Care
If shipping is required, your kitten will have:
Passed a veterinary health check
Received a valid health certificate
Been dewormed
Received age-appropriate vaccinations
Important: Young kittens may still encounter parasites due to environmental exposure. Continued vaccinations and deworming are the responsibility of the new owner.
6. Hereditary Defects & Replacement Policy
If a life-threatening congenital or hereditary condition is diagnosed, provide a written veterinary statement. Upon return of the original kitten, a replacement kitten of equal value will be offered from the next available litter.
7. Veterinary Expenses
Kitten Haven is not responsible for veterinary costs incurred after the kitten has left our care.
8. Transfer of Ownership
This health guarantee becomes void if the kitten is resold, rehomed, or transferred to a third party without written consent from the breeder.
9. Stress-Related Illness & Hypoglycemia
Travel, environmental changes, and stress can trigger temporary issues such as:
Mild diarrhea
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
Appetite loss
Owners must monitor their kitten closely. The breeder is not liable for conditions resulting from stress, improper care, or negligence.
10. Medical History & Responsibility
By purchasing a kitten, you acknowledge receipt of their medical history and agree to seek veterinary care as needed. If a kitten passes away, the breeder reserves the right to request a necropsy at the buyer’s expense.
If results confirm the cause was breeder-related, a replacement kitten will be provided.
11. Replacement Policy & Shipping Costs
If a replacement kitten is granted:
The buyer is responsible for return shipping
The buyer is responsible for shipping the replacement
Declining a replacement voids all guarantees.
12. Vaccination Policy
Our kittens receive age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming under veterinary oversight. Records will be provided at placement.
Over- or under-vaccination can negatively affect health; follow your veterinarian’s schedule.
13. Conditions Not Covered by Guarantee
The following are not covered under this guarantee:
Upper respiratory infections
Parasites (coccidia, giardia, etc.)
Minor diarrhea or dehydration due to travel
Feline herpes virus
Upper respiratory flare-ups due to stress
Cosmetic abnormalities or non-life-threatening concerns
These issues are common and manageable in young kittens.
